Service for Others

Community Meal

First Saturday of each month at 4:00 PM

Are you hungry? We extend a warm welcome to you to join us on the first Saturday of the month for our FREE Community Meal. Everyone is welcome.

Would you like to help? Home-cooked meals are served for take-out from the parking lot door. In colder months, we prepare hot meals for take-out. About one hundred and twenty-five take-out meals are served each month. Volunteer possibilities include menu planning, food purchasing, meal preparation, serving, facility setup, greeting guests, and clean-up.

Prayer Shawl Project

The comfort of others

Members of our congregation knit or crochet shawls for distribution to comfort others in our church who are in need of our love and prayers. The shawls are made of exceptionally soft yarn in pretty colors. They are very popular with those who have received them. Yarn and patterns are available for those interested.

Parish Care Committee

The Parish Care Committee actively reaches out to homebound members of the church offering friendship and God’s love.

Pride Advocacy

We participate in many Rock County Pride events throughout the year and host queer artists and speakers. We welcome all kinds from trans and queer.

Little Free Library

We have library books and toiletries in 2 Little Free Library boxes. One is on the south side of our church on Court Street. The other one is in front of Jeffris Flats apartments on Dodge Street.

Fourth Ward Picnic

Each year, we supply a bouncy house for the Fourth Ward Picnic.

Community garden

Kay Deupree, one of our members, was instrumental in founding the Community Gathering Garden on Rockport Rd. near Wilson School in 2008. In 2024, we installed a picnic table there in her memory.
