Church of the Wild

Church of the Wild is an outdoor service where participants listen for God’s voice in nature.  Each service includes prayer, nature-based poetry, contemporary readings, singing, and most importantly, a 20-minute solo meditative walk to observe and be attentive to the Sacred in the natural world.

The services are lay-led and meet in local parks six times yearly: Spring Equinox in March, wildflower bloom in May, Summer Solstice in June, prairie bloom in August, Fall Equinox in September, and Winter Solstice in December.  Services are held in all types of weather except thunderstorms or ice storms.  Anyone wanting to experience God through the natural world is welcome to attend.
