Purpose Statement

First Congregational United Church of Christ is a historic downtown church with deep roots in the city of Janesville. As a congregation we covenant to live out the following Purpose Statement:

1) We are a worshipping congregation with a growing faith, grounded in God, shaped and inspired by Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

2) Encouraging freedom of expression coming from our varied cultures, we strive to create a safe place where diversity is honored and welcomed.

3) We are committed to joining others in caring for the wider community and sharing in the on-going struggle for truth, wholeness. justice and peace.
